The Bible prophesies a peace agreement will be reached between the Israelis and Palestinians. Efforts to end this conflict dominate international headlines every day. When this agreement is concluded, it will trigger a seven-year period that will culminate at the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus to the Earth.
Once the prophesied agreement is signed, the Temple Mount will be placed under a sharing arrangement between Jews and Muslims. Israel will be allowed to build its Third Temple, without disturbing the Dome of the Rock or the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It appears the International Community will supervise this sharing arrangement.
The Jewish temple will be completed during the first 3½ years of the seven-year agreement.
When the temple is completed, Jews will begin to offer animal sacrifices just as they did before the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D.
The killing of animals every morning and every evening, as the Jewish scriptures dictate, will be met with outraged opposition. The animal rights activists will be incensed by what they view as a barbaric religious practice that has no place in the modern world.
Since the International Community was given the responsibility of supervising the Temple Mount, pressure will mount for it to stop the sacrifices.
By this time, a very charismatic world politician will have gained recognition as the leader of the International Community. Since he will have participated in the peace agreement that allowed for the building of Israel’s Third Temple, speculation will be circulating that perhaps he could be the Messiah. The pressure to resolve the dispute over the sacrifices will fall on his shoulders.
This world leader, who the Bible calls the Antichrist, will order the sacrifices stopped. (Daniel 11:31) He will explain they are not needed any more since he is, in fact, the Messiah. He will make this declaration from the Temple Mount. This event is called the Abomination of Desolation.
Scripture is clear Israel will reestablish sacrifices in the end time. The Antichrist cannot stop sacrifices that are not ongoing. However, something is needed first.
A Red Heifer?
Numbers 19 teaches the Jewish people if any person has had contact with a dead body, he or she is ritually impure and may not go into the sanctuary of the Lord until being purified. This means if a person has walked through a cemetery, visited a funeral home, been in a hospital where someone has died or been in the presence of human death in any form, he is impure. If a person violates this commandment by entering the sanctuary while impure, he is to be cut off from Israel. In other words, the person is to be excommunicated from God’s people.
The commandment in Numbers 19 describes the only way people under the law could be purified from contact with a dead body. A red heifer without blemish and on which a yoke has never been placed must be killed, its body burned and the ashes mingled in water. The one to be purified must then be sprinkled by the mixture to be cleansed from the curse of death. Only after the prescribed treatment can a person then go into the sanctuary of the Lord.
The Jewish people today assume that all of them have had contact with death and therefore, the entire nation is impure. Consequently, it has become the highest priority of religiously observant Jews to find a qualified red heifer to cleanse the people from death. Until this is accomplished, they don’t believe they can build their longed-for
Third Temple.
The sacrifices that will be ongoing once the temple is built are the sacrifices the Antichrist will stop. With all of the end time prophecies being fulfilled right now, this event can’t be far off. Hence, our interest in the recent acquisition of the red heifers.
An Update
Just two days before appearing on the Jim Bakker show on March 7, I talked to Byron Stinson, the gentleman who found the red heifers in Texas, because I wanted to provide the most up-to-date information on these scarlet cows.
As this issue goes to press, these are the most current updates on the red heifers.
According to Mr. Stinson, the plan is to perform the red heifer purification ceremony in April on Passover. Originally, I was invited to this event. However, because of the increased violence in the region, the Israeli government was not willing to grant permission for the ceremony. Maybe by the time you read this, they will have acquired the government’s approval. Only time will tell.
The project leaders have also acquired the parcel of land, overlooking the Temple Mount, on which the red heifer ceremony will take place.
I then asked about the age significance of the red heifers and the rush to perform the ceremony. He said the Jews have decided the heifers must be two years and three months old and be completely red to qualify for the ceremony. The older the cows get, the more chance they have of developing non-red hairs. He also informed me that as long as the cows remained red, no matter how old they got, they would remain viable candidates.
Additionally, they are already planning for the future by breeding one of the heifers with, in Mr. Stinson’s words, “ … the reddest bull you’ve ever seen.”
In Conclusion
They have the land and the red heifers for the purification ceremony. The Temple Institute has the blueprints, along with the furniture and instruments to be used in the Third Temple. The temple priests are trained.
Furthermore, there is a possibility the gold needed for the Third Temple has been provided. (See the “National Gathering for Prayer & Repentance” article in this magazine)
Will the red heifer ceremony occur on Passover? Currently, I do not have the answer.
However, we know the prophecies always come to pass. Along with the Sixth Trumpet War (WWIII), the next thing we are watching for is the signing of the Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement to start the Final Seven Years and allow Israel to build her
Third Temple.
