World Prophetic Fulfillments of 2023

The news headlines from 2023 affirm hundreds of prophecies written in the Bible centuries ago have been fulfilled already or are currently coming to pass throughout the world. “Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.” (John 13:19)

The Bible prophesies that just prior to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ a global identification system will be established, a peace agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians will be recognized by the International Community. A war will emanate out of the Euphrates River region that will destroy one-third of the Earth’s population. The sin of homosexuality will be just as prevalent as in Sodom and Gomorrah, a one-world government will be established, the Holy Roman Empire will be reborn and all faith systems will unite to form a one-world religion. All seven of these Bible prophecies were in the news in 2023. We wouldn’t have space in several magazines to cover every event.

Mark of the Beast

The Prophecy

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (Revelation 13:16-18)

The Fulfillment

The use of a “mark” to control buying and selling worldwide is now practical and achievable. Tracking and surveillance technology as well as political regulation expanded in 2023 to the point where the literal fulfillment of the “666” prophecy is at hand.

Beastly Connectivity

Just look around and you will see electronic connectivity on every side. The plan to digitally enslave society is illustrated by the identification and surveillance technologies already permeating our daily lives. Smartphones, iPads, laptops, virtual reality headsets, fitness trackers, dashcams and dozens of other personal electronic devices link virtually everyone to multiple individuals, organizations, businesses, institutions and a myriad of other Internet of Things instruments, sensors and appliances. Such a network will be easily directed by those who run the system. The Bible foretells that in the end times just such a pervasive ID and control system will be commanded by a beastly dictator called the Antichrist.

One World, One Control System

The Antichrist will consolidate his power and control along with a religious leader, the False Prophet, during the final days of human government on Earth. The Antichrist will enforce compliance to his dictates through a numbering and surveillance system called the Mark of the Beast. If you do not demonstrate allegiance to the Antichrist’s one-world regime, you will not receive your unique identifying number which enables you to buy, sell or participate in the economy. No buying or selling means no bank account, no job, no food, clothing or shelter. Just how this Mark-of-the-Beast system will operate has been the subject of abundant speculation.

What will the Mark Look Like?

Whether the Mark of the Beast will take the form of an iris scan, a palm print, an implanted microchip, a Quantum Dot tattoo or something entirely different, it is likely to be supported by a worldwide digital ID monitoring and tracking technology such as a social credit system which, along with a Central Bank Digital Currency, is now being tested and deployed in several countries. The Mark may be promoted as an appealing and convenient upgrade with discounts and membership benefits or other enticements. After all, the Beast’s system is enabled “ … after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,” (2 Thessalonians 2:9)

Digital Dollar’s Frightening Implications

According to Steve Forbes, the Federal Reserve digital dollar has frightening implications for privacy and freedom. Central banks around the world are examining whether they should create digital currencies. China has rolled out its digital Yuan already. Japan may launch a digital Yen by 2026. India is also moving ahead on this front. Advocates say CBDCs will help central banks better fight inflation, help prevent money laundering and prevent rogue states from evading sanctions. However, central bank digital money has ominous implications. The government will be able to track digitally every single product and service you buy and sell, giving officials a powerful control tool to direct the economy. They could also freeze a certain percentage of your cash or punish you if they feel you are saving too much.

Globalist ‘Disinformation,’ ‘High Risk’ Control

The Global Power Elite who have ties to transnational organizations such as the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, the World Trade Organization, the Federal Reserve Board, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderberg Group, the Aspen Institute and the Council on Foreign Relations, have long advocated for a digital ID requirement as a way of removing so-called “disinformation” from the internet. Once everyone has a digital ID, it will be easy to restrict everyday human discourse, movement and activity based on one’s social credit score. China’s Social Credit system makes deductions from your score for bad behavior like traffic violations and adds points for good behavior such as donating to charity. If your score dips below a certain point, you then have a restricted digital ID flagged as “high risk.” The government, working in collusion with Big Tech in their overspreading public-private partnerships, simply blocks your unique identifying number from network access. You can no longer have a bank account, get a driver’s license, receive health care, obtain a passport or any other privileges afforded only to those who are not “high risk.”

Privacy Risk, Facial Recognition Tested at More Airports

Travelers insert their driver’s license into a slot or place their passport photo against a card reader. Then they look at a camera on a screen which captures their facial image and compares it to their license or passport. There is no need for them to hand over their identification to a TSA officer. The Transportation Security Administration is expanding the use of this facial recognition technology at several airports across the country.

Artificial Intelligence Becoming Godlike Machines

Artilects (Artificial Intellect machines) will be capable of intellectual achievements rivaling or surpassing humans according to Dr. Hugo de Garis. AI or Artificial Intelligence impacts every industry, putting millions of jobs worldwide at risk of automation. Although there are huge opportunities ahead, Dr. Hugo de Garis believes we must consider the profound impact this technology will have on society and individuals. He argues that the coming years will be overrun by the issue of “species dominance.” “The question is,” he asks, “will the dominant species be humans or machines? Many of you may not like the answer.”

COVID Certificate for ‘Digital Health’ Spreading Globally

The World Health Organization adopted the European Union’s digital COVID-19 certification to usher in a global digital health system for “ongoing and future health threats.” A “landmark digital health partnership” in which the digital vaccine passport-style system developed by Brussels during the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis will be extended by the World Health Organization throughout the world.

CBDCs may be ‘Implanted’

According to Professor Richard Werner, all citizens could be implanted with a CBDC microchip to enable full participation in society. During an interview posted in July, the German economist speculated on the possibility of digital currencies someday being implanted into people’s hands. According to Professor Werner, in the very near future, citizens will “need to use the latest technology” such as a “CBDC chip implant” to access their bank accounts and do basic things such as purchase food and water.

Worldcoin Iris Scan is Coming, ‘Like it or Not’

The CEO of Worldcoin, a company that wants billions of people to scan their irises to create a global system of authentication, says a global form of ID is coming “whether you like it or not.” Worldcoin was co-founded by Alex Blania and Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, the company behind the controversial large language model ChatGPT. Worldcoin’s creator, Tools for Humanity knew there were warnings that its technology represented a “potential privacy nightmare,” and that there were reports of deceptive sales tactics which target desperate people who do not understand the technology or its potential risks. On July 24, Tools for Humanity went ahead anyway and introduced its global retina scanning project.

Cashless Society Well Underway in Australia

The digital payment industry is experiencing explosive growth in Australia. A recent report by the Australian Banking Association reports the use of digital wallet payments on smartphones and watches has soared from $746 million in 2018 to over $93 billion in 2022. Cash only accounts for 13% of consumer payments in Australia as of the end of 2022, a vivid contrast to 70% in 2007. Australians have embraced digital payments at such an astonishing rate that it places the country among the top users of cashless payments globally, surpassing the United States and European countries. However, there is a strong backlash over banks’ push to turn Australia into a cashless society as branches close and more restrictions are placed on how depositors can access their cash.

Middle East Peace Agreement

The Prophecy

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” (Daniel 9:27)

Daniel 9:27 prophesies the Antichrist will participate in a peace agreement between Israelis and Palestinians. This agreement will confirm Israel’s right to exist in the Holy Land, will create a Palestinian state in the West Bank (Judea) and will place the Temple Mount under a sharing arrangement between Muslims and Jews. The conclusion of this agreement will mark the beginning of the Final Seven Years to the Battle of Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus to Earth.

Is Mideast Peace Possible?

Will there ever be peace in the Middle East? There have been many failed attempts to create a lasting peace between Israel and her neighbors yet one man will appear to succeed. The plan which this man confirms will mark the final countdown to the return of Jesus. In the beginning, he will expand his influence through subtle diplomatic peace initiatives. This man, the Antichrist, will then exert his persuasive influence to confirm the right of the Jewish people to have a national homeland. He will pretend to be Israel’s friend. Only in the middle of the final seven-year period, when the covenant is broken, will the leadership of Israel finally recognize the true nature of the one who approved their signing of the peace agreement.

Dividing the Land – Saudi Arabia Peace Deal

As early as August 2023, Prime Minister Netanyahu signaled that a deal normalizing relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia was close to being finalized. Could it have been part of the “covenant with many” of Daniel 9:27? The confirmation of this covenant signifies the beginning of the Final Seven Years until the Battle of Armageddon. During the Trump administration, Israel had signed several agreements with Arab nations called the Abraham Accords. These countries now recognize Israel’s right to exist. However, Saudi Arabia was not one of them. The secret talks could have been related to Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords for mutual protection from aggressive neighboring countries. The Saudis had insisted they would not agree to anything which does not provide for a Palestinian homeland. This would mean Israel would have to agree to divide their land and give some of it to the Palestinians. Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman’s plan was to give the Palestinians areas next to Jordan, rather than having them form a separate country.

“At the Cusp” of an Historic Breakthrough

Prime Minister Netanyahu told the U.N. General Assembly on Friday, Sept. 22 that Israel was “at the cusp” of a historic breakthrough leading to a peace agreement with Saudi Arabia. He also said, “When the Palestinians see that most of the Arab world has reconciled itself to the Jewish state, they too, will be more likely to abandon the fantasy of destroying Israel, and finally embrace a path of genuine peace with it.” The plan seemed to be working until the outbreak of the Hamas-Israel conflict propelled the region into chaos in October. According to Joel 3:1-2, the Lord will judge the nations who “parted my land.”

Abraham Accords, Expanded Cooperation Between Israel, Arab States

The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain signed the Abraham Accords three years ago on September 15, agreeing to normalize relations with Israel. After that, Sudan and Morocco followed suit and joined the Abraham Accords. The name of the Accords was given in reference to the common ancestor of the Jews and the Arabs, the biblical Abraham, and as an expression of brotherhood. Normalization with Saudi Arabia is one of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s main policy goals and the United States has made clear it considers Saudi-Israeli normalization a national security interest. Earlier in September, Israel reached another milestone in its relations with Arab nations when the government opened a permanent embassy in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. At the ceremony, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen noted v’ki’imanu, v’higiyanu la’zman haZeh. (“Blessed are You, Lord our God, Who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this season.)”

UN Peace Forum – Saudi-EU Peace Initiative

Later in September, foreign ministers from countries in Europe and the Middle East met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly to reveal a new initiative aimed at reviving the long-dormant Israeli-Palestinian peace process. The meeting was organized by Saudi Arabia, the Arab League and the European Union with Jordan and Egyptian participation.

World War III Now Closer Than Ever

The Prophecy

“And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them.” (Revelation 9:13-16)

The “Sixth Trumpet Prophecy” foretells of increasing unrest and hostilities in the Middle East, the area the Bible prophesies to be the origin of the Euphrates River war that will kill one-third of mankind.

Wars and Rumors of Wars

We appear to be closer to a world war than we have been at any time since the end of the Cold War. The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the Israel-Hamas conflict, along with rising tensions between the United States and China, are potential flashpoints for a third world war. The Ukraine war, now in its 21st month, has killed or wounded hundreds of thousands and destroyed vast Ukrainian territories. It has also set off the deepest crisis in Moscow’s relations with the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Another intense conflict, the fiercest since the Yom Kippur War, began on the morning of October 7 with a barrage of over 5,000 rockets launched from the Gaza Strip against Israel. Around 3,000 Palestinian militants breached the Gaza–Israel barrier, killing civilians in over a dozen massacres and setting fire to their homes. Israeli military forces retaliated with sizeable strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip and a subsequent air, land and sea invasion of Gaza. By the end of October, more than 1,500 Israelis and more than 8,000 Palestinians had been killed, including more than 3,000 children, while over 230 Israelis and foreign nationals remained captured or taken hostage.

Doomsday Clock Moved Closer to Annihilation

On January 24 the Doomsday Clock was set at 90 seconds until midnight – the closest to the hour it has ever been. “We are living in a time of unprecedented danger, and the Doomsday Clock time reflects that reality,” said Rachel Bronson, president and CEO of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. Over the past 76 years, the clock’s time has changed according to how close scientists believe humanity is to total destruction. When Russian President Vladimir Putin launched an invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, it triggered the largest armed conflict in Europe since World War II. Casualties continue to rise and the humanitarian crisis worsens. Today after over 600 days of war, analysts question how the West can continue to hold Putin accountable while reducing the risks of a wider war between Russia and NATO.

Russia’s ‘Big Revenge’ has Begun

In January, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared that after a couple of months of stalemate, Russia had begun its “big revenge” with assaults around Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine. It is estimated around 100,000 Russian and 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed or injured in the war in Ukraine since it began on Feb. 24, 2022. Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, also suggested that around 40,000 civilians have died after being caught up in the conflict. By June 2022, Russian troops had occupied about 20% of Ukrainian territory. About eight million Ukrainians had been internally displaced and more than 8.2 million had fled the country by April 2023, creating Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II.

Putin Prepares for World War III, Deploys Nuclear Ships

One year into the war with Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin resorted to more deadly measures, sending ships out to sea armed with nuclear weapons. This alarmed NATO and the rest of the world, especially as the situation in Ukraine had deteriorated further and the war approached its one-year anniversary on February 24. This marks the first time Russian surface ships have taken to sea armed with nuclear weapons since the end of the Cold War.

Israel Prepares for Iran War Without US Help

As recent tensions and shifting U.S. priorities made a “deterioration” in the security situation likely, former Israel National Security Advisor General Yaakov Amidror said Israel may be forced to act alone against Iran’s nuclear program. He said in April that war with Iran is increasingly likely “and Israel needs to gear up to attack without U.S. assistance.”

Biden ‘Dragging’ US ‘Into World War III’, Sends Cluster Bombs

It was announced in early July the U.S. was set to send cluster munitions to Ukraine as part of a new military aid package. This followed months of debate within the Biden administration about whether to provide Kyiv with the controversial weapons banned by over 100 countries. Former President Trump claimed Biden was “dragging” the United States “into World War III” by making the controversial decision to send cluster bombs. “Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine. He should be trying to end the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration,” Trump said in a statement on July 11.

Israel-Hamas War

On the morning of October 7, Palestinian militant groups launched a barrage of rockets against Israel, while around 3,000 militants breached the Gaza–Israel barrier attacking Israeli military bases and civilians in more than a dozen massacres including one at a music festival, leaving at least 1,200 people dead and 239 people taken captive to the Gaza Strip. Hamas said its attack was in response to the blockade on Gaza, continued settlements, Israeli settler violence and restrictions on movement between Israel and Gaza. Israel’s declaration of a state of war the following day marked the start of the most significant military escalation in the region since the Yom Kippur War.

US, Iran-backed Armed Troops Increasingly Trading Fire in Syria

It was revealed in November that the United States and Iran-backed armed groups were increasingly trading fire in Syria ever since Israel launched its brutal military assault on the Gaza Strip on October 7. U.S. bases in Syria and Iraq have been attacked multiple times, raising fears of regional escalation as Iran has warned against the mounting death toll in Gaza. Voice of America reported the U.S. military struck two facilities used by Iran and Iranian-backed militant groups in Syria on Sunday, November 12. Defense officials told VOA that Iranian-backed militants had attacked U.S. troops in Iraq and Syria at least 56 times in less than a month, with at least five attacks happening after the Sunday strikes.

LGBTQ+ Rights Campaigners Expect Global Momentum

In January, Bloomberg reported gay right activists expected positive momentum in 2023 for the community in countries from Brazil to Greece but were concerned about friction over transgender
people. Toward the end of 2022, there was a stirring of movement to decriminalize same-sex intimacy in Singapore, St. Kitts and Nevis, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda. By the beginning of 2023, 33 governments had legalized same-sex unions, triple the number compared to a decade earlier. The number of states that have laws that criminalize same-sex relations is decreasing.

Biden Marks Transgender Day of Visibility, ‘Made in the Image of God’

President Biden wrote in a proclamation celebrating the Transgender Day of Visibility, “Today we show millions of transgender and nonbinary Americans that we see them, they belong, and they should be treated with dignity and respect.” He added, “I continue to call on the Congress to finally pass the Equality Act … ” President Biden had posted on the Transgender Day of Visibility, “We want you to know that we see you just as you are: Made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect,
and support.”

DeSantis Signs Drag Shows, Transgender Kids, Bathrooms, Pronouns Bills

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed bills in May that ban gender-affirming care for minors, target drag shows, restrict discussion of personal pronouns in schools and force people to use certain bathrooms. He signed the bills in front of a cheering crowd as part of his pro-family-traditional values agenda as he prepares to seek the Republican presidential nomination.

US White House Proclaims LGBTQ+ Pride Month

On May 31, the Joe Biden administration White House posted, “A Proclamation on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Pride Month, 2023,” with these words, “During Pride Month, we honor a movement that has grown stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive with every passing year. Pride is a celebration of generations of LGBTQI+ people, who have fought bravely to live openly and authentically.”

WHO Announces Trans and Gender Diverse Guidelines

The World Health Organization announced in June the development guidelines on the health of trans and gender diverse people. WHO’s Departments of Gender, Rights and Equity – Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (GRE-DEI), Global HIV, Hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Infections Programs (HHS), and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research (SRH) are developing a guideline on the health of trans and gender diverse people. The guidelines will center on “provision of gender-affirming care, including hormones; health workers education and training for the provision of gender-inclusive care; provision of health care for trans and gender diverse people who suffered interpersonal violence based on their needs; health policies that support gender-inclusive care, and legal recognition of self-determined gender identity.”

Supreme Court Sides With Web Designer in LGBTQ+ Case

In a 6-3 decision on June 30, the conservative-dominated United States Supreme Court sided with web designer Lorie Smith who had sought an exemption from a Colorado law that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation. The court ruled certain businesses can refuse to provide services to same-sex weddings in what advocates say is the latest blow to LGBTQ+ rights in the country.

Parents must Affirm Trans Identity or could Lose Their Children

The California state Senate held a hearing June 13 on a proposed amendment that would classify parents who do not endorse their child’s gender confusion as “abusive.” If passed, the measure could result in a child’s removal from their family’s home. AB 957 already requires courts to consider whether parents are affirming their child’s gender in custody battles but the proposed amendment alters California Family Code and would allow courts to step in if a family disapproves of transgender ideology.

Health Center Asks Parents if Their Newborns are Transgender

Woodgate Valley Health Centre in England quizzed new parents with questionnaires asking if they considered their babies to be transgender or non-binary. It asked them whether they considered their child to be either “male (including trans man),” “female (including trans woman),” “non-binary,” “other (not listed)” or “not stated.” A source said, “To think a newborn baby can be signed up as anything other than male or female shows how ridiculous the gender discussion and woke culture has become.”

One-World Government

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.” (Daniel 7:23)

The Fulfillment

According to the Bible, in the last days a 10-nation confederacy will be formed in Europe out of a revived Holy Roman Empire. From this political union, one man will rise to power, the Antichrist. He will confirm a seven-year agreement with the Israelis and Palestinians. Also, very soon the Antichrist will be added to the roster of dignitaries heralding the implementation of the New World Order.

New World Order Serfdom and Tyranny

In November, an article posted in Townhall titled, The New World Order: The Road to Serfdom and Tyranny, Scott Powell provided a comprehensive list of the main tenets of the New World Order agenda: “depopulation and mass migration; de-Christianizing the West; ending national sovereignty and autonomy; radical reduction of privacy; transforming the natural, free market system into a contrived stakeholder system imposing centralized political control based on environmental, diversity, equity and inclusion, and subjective governance variables.” Powell calls it “a kind of socialism through the back door.” Powell believes the New World Order leaders want to demoralize, divide and control Earth’s population to bring about global tyranny. The Green New Deal, which centers on forced reductions of emissions, leads to depopulation of starvation from a radical reduction in crop yields. NWO leaders promote a total surveillance state, social credit scoring and central bank digital currency. They also believe in government’s intrusion into people’s lives and have no respect for God-given unalienable human and civil rights. America’s school system has been compromised to weaken and destroy national identity, sovereignty and trust to pave the way for the New World Order. Powell resolves the New World Order’s tenets “present a dark picture and an evil system in which people have no rights, no privacy, and no freedom.” He concludes that, “The contrast between the NWO and the constitutional republic form of American government, whose legitimacy comes from God and the participation of its citizens, could not be greater.”

World Health Organization Setting Stage for One-World Government

Former U.S. congresswoman and presidential candidate Michele Bachmann informed a radio audience in April that the Biden administration is now seeking to give broad authority to the World Health Organization, giving it a platform for global governance that would allow it to make binding health care decisions for the United States. During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, national emergency status had given sweeping powers to the government. “We’re just coming out of three years of being under emergency power. We know what that is like, where we lose some of the most basic civil rights that we have ever had. That is what’s at stake here,” Bachmann told radio host Jan Markell, founder of Olive Tree Ministries. Bachmann warned that agreeing to the stipulations of the “Pandemic Treaty” would change the role of the World Health Organization from merely an advisory board to one empowered to declare emergency status for 194 nations on Earth.

WEF’s Secret Blueprint Controls Every Aspect of Life

With power over critical industries and infrastructure, like the United Nations, the World Bank and the World Health Organization, the World Economic Forum will have unprecedented control over every aspect of our lives, and its world dominion effort is already underway. Klaus Schwab’s notorious “Great Reset” declaration during the COVID-19 lockdown demonstrated the WEF was intent on using the pandemic to shape the present and subordinate the future. When Schwab announced his “Great Reset,” he told the world that, after everyone got vaccinated, the lockdowns would end, and the world would rebuild in a “greener” way.

Holy Roman Empire Reborn

“And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed … ” (Daniel 2:41-44)

The Fulfillment

The Holy Roman Empire was reborn with the signing of the Lisbon Treaty on Nov. 3, 2009. It is important in Bible prophecy because both the Antichrist and the False Prophet come from this revived Holy Roman Empire.

The Fourth Beast and the Little Horn

The “Revived Holy Roman Empire” refers to a powerful government which dominates the world during the end times. The 10-horned fourth beast of Daniel 7 is a prophetic picture of the revived Holy Roman Empire. As Daniel watched, a little horn rose from the beast with “ … eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.” (Daniel 7:8, NIV). The little horn emerging from the fourth beast suggests that in the end times, there will be a “revival” of the old Holy Roman Empire. This restoration will feature a coalition of 10 world leaders. Daniel 2:41-43 concern Nebuchadnezzar’s dream of an image made of various metals. The iron legs represent the Roman Empire, and the feet made “ … partly of iron and partly of baked clay.” (Daniel 2:33, NIV) represent the final world empire. The fact that it shares the element iron with the fourth kingdom suggests a connection to the Holy Roman Empire, and the 10 toes refer to a 10-nation confederacy matching the 10 horns in Daniel 7:20.

European Union and the End Times

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had a disturbing dream one night so he called on his wise men to tell him both what the dream was and its interpretation. No one could except Daniel, who had been recently taken captive from Jerusalem. Daniel gave glory to God, “ … who reveals mysteries … ”  (Daniel 2:28, NIV) Then Daniel correctly related the content of the dream Nebuchadnezzar had: “Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image’s head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.” (Daniel 2:31–33). Daniel then provided the interpretation: “ … Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.”

(Daniel 2:38-40) The feet of iron mixed with clay (Daniel 2:33) represent a revival of the Holy Roman Empire. Thus, the revived Holy Roman Empire is revealed in the Bible as the 10 horns (10 nations). The infrastructure of this 10-nation coalition is alive and well today as the European Union.

The European Union wants to step up its naval visits and engage in joint military training exercises to promote freedom of navigation in the disputed South China Sea. Why? Because nearly 40% of the EU’s foreign trade transits through the South China Sea. The outreach is part of an EU strategy unveiled in 2021 to focus its actions in the Indo-Pacific to contribute to regional security amid more intense geo-political competition.

European Union Finalizes Regulation for Digital Identity Wallet

The new European Digital Identity Wallets will allow citizens to prove their identity and share electronic documents securely all over Europe, “while retaining full control over their data and what they choose to share with third parties.” The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union reached a final agreement on November 8 on a legal framework for the EU Digital Identity, the first trusted and secure digital identity framework for all Europeans. The Digital Wallet will allow users to open bank accounts, make payments and hold digital documents such as drivers licenses, medical prescriptions, professional certificates or travel tickets. Private services required to authenticate their users such as Amazon, Booking.com or Facebook will accept the EU Digital Identity Wallet for logging into their   online services.

This kind of society will be primed to welcome a charismatic religious leader, the False Prophet, who will usher the world into the arms of the Antichrist.

Revival Sweeps US Campuses, Hundreds Baptized

A spiritual awakening continues to unfold among young people in the United States on secular and Christian college campuses, at youth events and at churches across the country. There have been reports of numerous baptisms taking place at recent events. Hundreds were baptized at 2023 Winterfest, an annual youth rally held in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. CBN reported how the Gospel was preached at revival events across California over the first weekend in April at Hope Fest with thousands saved and baptized. Among those who came to the Lord were a couple walking to a Satanic ritual who heard the Gospel and were saved on the spot. On March 26, hundreds gathered on the beach at sunset cliffs from Point Loma Nazarene University, a small private Christian school in San Diego, California. Dozens were baptized. Cole Stark, who has several friends at Point Loma Nazarene University, told CBN News in an email, “As baptisms were happening, an unrelated event released balloons into the sky. After looking at the pictures, we realized that there were 35 balloons, along with a total of 35 baptisms at the cliffs that day.”

A parent frustrated by efforts to ban materials from schools convinced a suburban district in June that some Bible verses were too vulgar or violent for younger children. Later, in a unanimous vote after an appeal, the Board of Education of the Davis School District decided to reverse its previous decision and permit the Bible in school libraries at all levels.

Artificial Intelligence Delivers Sermon to Packed Church

Hundreds attended a Protestant church service on June 9 in Germany. It was generated almost entirely by artificial intelligence with a sermon presented by the AI chatbot ChatGPT. The chatbot, which presented itself as a video of a black man with a beard above the altar of St. Paul’s Church in Fürth, Bavaria, told the packed congregation not to fear death according to the Associated Press.

Prophetic Excitement, Pure Red Heifer Arrives in Ancient Shiloh

A rare 22-month-old red heifer, which was brought to Israel from Texas, arrived in the Ancient Shiloh heritage site in mid-July with much celebration. Shiloh is where the biblical Tabernacle once stood for almost 400 years. Hundreds of visitors flocked to Shiloh in Samaria’s Binyamin region on July 13 to welcome the biblically pure red heifer. Binyamin Regional Council head Israel Ganz called the cow’s arrival a “historic moment.” “In the coming month, two more heifers will be transported to the town, and a center will open there dedicated to researching the phenomenon. The heifers will be kept in a fenced-off area, and visitors will not be able to touch the animals,” according to Jewish News Syndicate. When a group of cattle from Texas arrived at Israel’s busy Ben Gurion Airport in September last year, it caused quite a stir, as some rabbis saw it as prophetic and a prerequisite to the return of the Messiah. Numbers 19 explains that ashes of the red heifer are required to purify priests for their service in the future Third Temple. The heifers were discovered and brought to Israel with the help of the Boneh Israel – “Building Israel” – organization and its team leader, Byron Stinson.
