Dave Robbins: “Behold, I come quickly.”
Imagine Jesus saying those words today.
In Revelation chapter 22, we will hear God himself give his
final warning, and it’s intended for those living in the end
times on the day of his Return to the earth.
We’re gonna analyze the Lord’s final warning on this edition of
“The Endtime Show.”
♪♪♪
Dave: Good afternoon, everybody.
I’m Dave Robbins with Endtime Ministries, and I do thank you
for joining me on this edition of “The Endtime Show.”
You know, in the end time, things aren’t always going to be
as they are today.
A lot of times we get in our mind, well, you know, it’s just
gonna continue on.
Someday I may pass away or the Rapture’s gonna happen, but
that’s, you know, many, many, many years in the future and
some people believe it could be today.
But there’s a finality to everything.
Things don’t always stay the same.
I’ve lived long enough, and I’m sure you have as well,
to understand that.
Things change throughout your life.
And that’s the way it’s gonna be throughout the end time.
There is gonna come a time when all of this is gonna be
over with.
This–everything you see is only temporal.
It’s gonna be done away with, and we will enter into an
eternal existence with Jesus Christ.
So I wanted to talk to you about that today and to kind of walk
through Revelation chapter 22 because it’s the Lord’s
last warning.
But I don’t wanna wait till that day to make sure I’m ready to
go, right?
Can’t do that because the Lord could come for any one of
us today.
We’re not–nobody’s promised tomorrow.
So I wanna talk about this last warning because some people live
their lives just helter-skelter.
“Eh, I do whatever I want.
The Lord isn’t even on my radar.
I’m not really gonna pay attention to the Bible, so I’m
just gonna do whatever I want.”
Well, that–and you have that choice, but the fact is there is
coming a day when the Lord is saying: “Behold, I
come quickly.”
And he’s going to come, and that’s gonna be it.
There’s gonna be a 1000-year millennial reign after that, but
still at the end of that 1000-year millennial reign,
there’s a Great White Throne Judgment.
There’s a finality to it all.
Things aren’t always gonna be like they are today.
So I wanted to talk to you about that today and to make sure that
this final warning is on your radar.
You know, in Revelation chapter 21, verse 9, the Bible says:
“Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls
containing the seven last plagues,” the seven vials of the
wrath of God, “they came to John in a vision and they said,
‘John, come with me, and I’m gonna show you the bride, the
Lamb’s wife.'”
Now we know that the bride is the church, right?
And when he said this in verse 10, he said: “So he took me in
the spirit to a great high mountain and he showed me the
holy city Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God.”
So we’re seeing a vision here, a symbolic view of the church.
The New Jerusalem in Revelation chapter 21, it’s a symbolic view
of the church.
And then we transition to after, he gives–we give glory to God,
we talk about his church, and the resplendent glory of that
and God’s bride.
Then we go over into Revelation 22, and the first five verses of
chapter 22, it’s really a continuation of chapter 21 to
describe the glories of the New Jerusalem.
Then you get to chapter 22 and this final chapter of the entire
Bible, but also the final chapter of the book of
Revelation, it really restates the purpose for which the last
book of the Bible was given.
Revelation chapter 22, verse 6, it declares the purpose
very clearly.
It says: “And he said unto me, These things are faithful and
true; and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angels to
show unto his servants the things which must shortly come
to pass.”
And we know that Jesus said that he sent his angels to show his
servants the things which must shortly come to pass, and our
Lord wants his servants to know what the future holds.
And the book of Revelation, it’s simply the unveiling of
Jesus Christ.
And it is presented to give an understanding to all who desire
to know the things that will soon come to pass.
Now, there are many prophecy books, the prophecy book of
Daniel, and there’s prophecies about the Second Coming of Jesus
and events that would surround that, the Battle of Armageddon,
Zechariah, Ezekiel, the gathering back together of the
nation of Israel, and the book of Isaiah, and many others.
Certainly Matthew chapter 24, Jesus himself taught the Olivet
Discourse, the most famous prophecy chapter in the Bible,
but then we come to Revelation.
Many of the apostles talk about prophecy as well, but then we
come to Revelation, and it’s simply the unveiling, or the
revealing, of Jesus Christ.
But then that book has to come to an end, and that’s Revelation
chapter 22.
And we’re gonna see a final warning: “Behold, I
come quickly.”
And then everything is gonna change.
God’s gonna establish his kingdom here on the earth.
We’re gonna move off into the 1000-year millennial reign.
We have the Great White Throne Judgment, and then we move off
into our eternal existence.
Again, we’ve said it many times, but if you try to figure the
book of Revelation out looking at it from a perspective that is
written in chronological order, you’re gonna get totally
messed up.
Because you’ll have the wrath of God happening four times in the
book of Revelation.
You’ll have the Second Coming of Jesus Christ talked about at
least four times in the in the book of Revelation.
So we know that the wrath of God and Jesus only comes once in the
near future.
And so, that’s why the warning: “Behold, I come quickly,” again,
over in Revelation 22, if you’re trying to figure everything out
from a chronological standpoint, you’re gonna be stuck when you
get to the book of Revelation.
So it’s very important that we understand these things, but I’m
gonna do a deep dive into Revelation chapter 22 today to
make sure that we’re keeping one of the most important things
you’ll ever hear on your radar, and that is the Lord is saying:
“Behold, I come quickly.”
Make sure that your calling and election is sure.
I wanted to do this deep dive today into Revelation chapter 22
because there are many people that think: “Well, Hollywood
should set on moral compass.
I’m looking to the government for the answers to all of my,
you know, any crisis in my life and all of my troubles or I
might look to a psychiatrist or to a doctor or I’m looking at
society as a whole.
They owe me something.
I’m entitled.”
And the the fact of the matter is, is that when it comes times
of crisis, anything like that, I have to look to Jesus Christ for
the answer to all of my needs.
Not looking to government, I’m not looking to Hollywood for my
moral compass.
So many people–the enemy has got people focused on all kinds
of different things.
I mean, who am I gonna worship?
Well, I’ll look to the sports world and maybe a sports figure.
But the thing is, the Bible says: “Hear, O Israel, the Lord
our God is one Lord and him only shalt thou serve.”
But to a lot of people in the world, God and the Bible, his
Word isn’t even on their radar.
They’re just functioning in their own world, which is a
complete travesty.
And this whole world is just ambling along right now.
And it feels like, well, we’ll just, you know, we’re in
reactive mode.
We’re just kind of–all the crisis that hit, we’ll just take
care of them as they come.
But the thing is, it’s not always going to be like it’s
always been.
There is gonna come a time when this whole world is gonna be
changed completely.
And the Lord’s gonna split the clouds wide open.
The Bible says in Revelation 1:7: “Every eye will
behold him.”
And he’s gonna come back.
Human governments are gonna be done away with.
To some people that look to government for the answer to all
their needs, it’s gonna be done away with someday, and the
Lord’s gonna establish his government here on the earth.
Oh, don’t you want to be a part of that government?
The Bible says that we, the saints, will rule and reign as
kings and priests with him for that 1000 year millennial reign.
So I’ve got to be a part of that kingdom.
And of course, Jesus Christ told Nicodemus in John 3, except a
man’s born again, he can’t enter or see the kingdom of God.
So when the Lord gives a final warning, “Behold, I cometh
quickly,” to every generation since the time of Jesus and
the apostles.
The Lord has come quickly.
We’ve only got, what, 70, 80, 90 years on this earth, maybe 100
if you’re super lucky and God blesses you.
But still 100 years in the grand scheme of eternity, that’s just
a vapor.
So the Lord could come for any one of us today.
So I’ve got to make sure my calling and election is sure,
and the Lord is gonna tell us over and over and over:
“Behold, I come quickly.”
Doug Norvell: The Roman government controlled the world,
so many people were looking for a different Messiah, a
rescuing Messiah.
♪♪♪
Doug: Remember the story of the woman at the well, “The woman
saith unto him, ‘I know that Messiah cometh,
which is called Christ.’
And Jesus said unto her, ‘I that speak unto thee am he.'”
Jesus very clearly stated that he was God and that he was
the Messiah.
We’re even more blessed because we haven’t seen those things,
but yet we believe.
When Jesus cried out, “My God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me?”
he knew every one of these prophecies had to be fulfilled.
He said, “It is finished.”

Dave: When we come to the 6th verse of Revelation chapter 22,
we’re also told the identity of the one who has been talking to
John throughout the vision here.
God said that “he had sent his angel to show us the things that
must come to pass.”
So Revelation–an angel’s talking to John here.
In Revelation 22, verse 7, it gives us the theme of the final
chapter of the last book of the Bible: “Behold, I come quickly;
blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of
this book.”
You know, many people have questioned why the Declaration:
“Behold, I come quickly.”
I mean, that would be made when the book of Revelation was
written 2000 years ago, right?
The scripture saying: “Behold, I come quickly,” has proven true
for each generation since the book of Revelation was given
to John.
John has been calling individuals–I’m sorry, Jesus,
has been–through John’s book, has been calling individuals
home for over 2000 years.
And it always seems to come quickly, doesn’t it?
I mean, remember James chapter 4, verse 14, it says:
“For what is your life?
It is even a vapor that appeareth for a little time and
then vanishes away.”
Even if you live to be 110 years old, in the grand scheme of
eternity, it’s just a vapor, folks.
It’s just here and gone.
And so, what I’m doing in this short little, what, 70, 80, 100
years, whatever, I’ve got to make my call and election sure
because I’m preparing in this life for my eternal existence.
Every generation has done that at one point or another.
So, as the generation who will see, I believe, the
physical Return of Jesus to the earth,
the words have never rung truer, right?
“Behold, I come quickly,” three times in Revelation chapter 22.
in this closing chapter of all of the holy Scriptures, God
repeats the phrase: “Behold, I come quickly.”
So, he wants it to be on our radar, doesn’t he?
And this leaves no doubt the overriding purpose of this final
book of Scripture is to warn us to be ready for the coming of
the Lord.
Keeping the sayings of Revelation, after saying:
“Behold, I come quickly,” Jesus went on to say: “Blessed is he
that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”
What does he mean by that statement?
Well, you know, how can we keep the sayings of the prophecies
given in the Book of Revelation?
Doesn’t make sense, does it?
Well, it actually does once you understand the thesis of the
book of Revelation all the way back in Revelation, chapters 2
and 3.
In the book of Revelation, there are messages
given straight from Jesus to the seven churches in Asia.
And we’re told what they’re doing right and what some of
them are lacking, what they’re doing wrong.
And we should learn from these messages and adjust our conduct
accordingly ’cause I don’t wanna fall into the point where
I’ve lost my first love or, you know, some of the other
circumstances that those churches were going to.
In chapter 6 of Revelation, the four spirits that seek to
control the human race: Catholicism, communism,
capitalism, and Islamism, they are revealed.
And we should understand these forces and not allow our lives
to be controlled by them.
What are we doing?
Remember Revelation 22: “Obey the prophecies that are in
this book.
Behold, I come quickly.”
In chapter 7, God devotes this entire chapter to the great
Jewish Gentile revival that will be poured out in the end time.
And by revealing the revival to us, Jesus wants us to prepare to
participate in this final harvest just before his
Second Coming.
Now, If we move on to chapters 8 through 11, the seven trumpets
are given to us so that way we can understand the
world-changing events that are happening all around us.
Jesus told us in Matthew 24:6: “And you shall hear of wars and
rumors of wars; see that you be not troubled, for all these
things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.”
And, wow, are we living through that right now.
Although we’re living through the events prophesied in the
seven trumpets, Jesus told us: “Don’t be troubled by all
those things.”
Those are, you know, climactic events, but he was saying that
we should make sure you stay on course.
I’ve got a purpose for my church in these end times.
The Bible says: “God had not given us a spirit of fear but of
power of love and of a sound mind.
I can have a sound mind going through all these
apocalyptic events.
And Jesus was saying: “Stay on course and accomplish what he
has called us to do in reaping the final harvest.”
That is the role of the church in the end time, for the church
to be in evangelism mode, just like the early apostles were.
You understand the early apostles lived under the reign
of a world government, and yet, they set up a church in Rome,
the seat of the world government.
And they weren’t fearful.
They went right into Rome in complete debauchery and set up
a church.
The book of Romans was written to the church in Rome by the
apostle Paul.
So that’s what the church’s role is in in 2025 and beyond is
evangelism mode.
I’ve got to reach this world for the cause of Jesus Christ, why?
Because Jesus is saying: “Behold, I’m coming quickly.”
In chapter 12 of the book of Revelation, we’re given kind of
an overview of events all the way from the birth of Christ,
all the way to the end of the Great Tribulation.
Remember in Revelation 12, verse 14 of the–it says that it is
revealed that the eagle, or the United States in Bible prophecy,
will stand with Israel against the entire world in the
end time.
And we’re seeing that, the ongoing fulfillment of that
prophecy, as we speak, right?
The United States standing with Israel against the
world-governing body in this end time.
And this information should give us living here in the United
States confidence to stand against the antichrist and his
world governing body through most of the–even though most of
the nations of the world are going to be against us, you can
see it right now.
Many of the nations of the world are against what we’re doing
with Israel, Russia, Ukraine, and Iran, many times, Europe,
and different nations around the world.
Chapter 13 in the book of Revelation, it clearly reveals
to us Satan’s plan for these last days.
We’re shown about the, in Revelation chapter 13 verse 1
through 8, the antichrist and his world government.
In Revelation 13:11 through 15, we’re told about the false
prophet and his world religious system.
And then in Revelation 13, verse 16 through 18, the enforcement
mechanism of Satan’s plan to cause all people to worship him.
But, remember, the Bible says: “And you shall hear of wars and
rumors of wars.
See that you be not troubled, for all these things must come
to pass, but the end is not yet.”
Yeah, we’re gonna hear about some apocalyptic things.
We’re gonna hear about a world-government.
We’re gonna hear about a world religion.
We’re gonna hear about a global economic sanctioning system,
the, the enforcement mechanism of the antichrist and the false
prophet that’s called the mark of the beast.
We’re gonna hear about these things.
But Jesus, in his message, said: “Don’t be troubled.
You’re gonna hear wars or rumors of wars, pestilence,
earthquakes, you’re gonna hear of all kinds of stuff in these
end times.
But don’t be troubled. You’re my church.
I’ve got my hands upon you.
And you’re gonna march straight forward, and you’re gonna carry
out my will and my purpose in the end time, and that is to
evangelize the world.
Didn’t Jesus Christ say in Matthew 24 as well: “This gospel
of the kingdom will be preached into all the world, and then the
end would come.”
That’s the role of the church in the end time.
In Revelation chapter 14, we’re told that all who worship the
antichrist and receive the mark of the beast will be tormented
forever and forever in the presence of the Lamb and his
holy angels.
Revelation 14 concludes with an account of the two harvests, the
Harvest of the Wheat and the Tears.
It’s the same thing when the reapers come in with sickles to
reap the harvest and the vine of the earth.
It’s the same thing as Matthew 13, the Wheat and the Tears.
So this gives us the book of Revelation’s third account of
the Rapture of the church and the Battle of Armageddon.
It happens in chapter–in the sixth and seventh seal, the
seventh trumpet, and also in the seventh vial in chapters 15 and
16, but also here in 14 and the simultaneous harvest.
Then you go to chapters 15 and 16, and it records the coming
wrath of God that would be poured out upon the enemies
during the Battle of Armageddon.
And after these chapters, God kind of interrupts the flow of
the book of Revelation to interject the account of his
judgment that would be poured out upon false Christianity.
Yes, there is a true Christianity in the earth, and
there is a false Christianity.
Many in false Christianity are being sucked up into this great
one-world-religious system that’s being established to
advocate for and to pledge allegiance to the
world-governing body.
That’s not something you wanna be a part of.
You wanna be a part of the true Christianity and the true church
of Jesus Christ on the earth that is evangelizing the world
and converting others to Jesus Christ and to putting them into
his kingdom.
The false religious system is trying to create a world
religious system, not to evangelize the world, but just
so that they can all come under one belief system or one global
ethic to advocate for the world governing body.
Don’t wanna be a part of that.
I wanna be a part of the true church of Jesus Christ that is
building the Kingdom of God so that way we can all spend
eternity with him.
That’s the goal in all of this.
I love Jesus Christ.
I want to spend eternity with him.
I don’t care about the world government, the
antichrist, and all that stuff.
I don’t wanna be a part of that.
And so there is a true Christianity, and there is a
false Christianity.
Make sure you understand the truth.
Get in true Bible-believing churches,
Bible-believing-teaching churches, and great
Bible studies.
Listen to great radio and television programs that will
help you understand true Christianity versus
false Christianity.
It’s of utmost importance.
It’s of eternal consequence.
Then we move on to chapters 17 and 18 in Revelation, and
they’re devoted to the judgment of mystery Babylon and all of
her daughters.
And his warning to all of us is given in Revelation 18:4: “Hey,
there’s a false religious system being established.
She’s gonna be destroyed when I come.”
But in Revelation 18:4, the Lord says: “‘What are we supposed to
do then?’
‘Come out of her, my people.
That ye be not partakers of her sins and receive not of
her plagues.'”
The false religious system in the end time is going to be
judged by God.
But there are people in those churches that they’ve been doing
all they’ve known and taught to do their whole life.
However, they’re being led astray.
Their churches have made them turn away from truth towards–or
they were never really truly fully established in the truth
to begin with.
But there are people that love God.
They’re doing their best to serve God.
They’re doing what they’re taught their whole life.
And God, in the end, Revelation 18:4 says: “Hey, you that love
me, you that are truly on board with serving me and being part
of my kingdom, come out of those churches, my people, because
she’s gonna be judged.”
And I don’t want you to be a part of that.
Come out, get in a true Bible-believing, Bible-teaching
church that teaches the Word of God without fear or favor
because the Bible says: “It’s not God’s will that any should
perish, but that all should come under repentance.”
And he’s gonna judge that entity, but he doesn’t want to
judge people who are sincerely wanting to serve him.
He wants them to be involved in a true Bible-believing,
Bible-teaching church.
Very, very important, just because it says, Christian on
the outside or on the–of a church, over a church door, or
on the sign out front, it does not mean that is a true
Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church.
We’ve seen churches lately go completely sideways and start
allowing LGBTQ members into their pulpits as ministers.
Have you heard about that lately?
You follow your news, you have.
So it’s very important that we become part of a true
Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church.
So, we’re walking through Revelation 22 because God said:
“Behold, I come quickly,” but to many people that’s not even on
their radar.
I’m not gonna–not really worried about that.
Well, it’s something that we all should make–at least, be
concerned about because I’ve got to make myself ready for that
event when it happens should it happen today
or in the very near future.
It’s very, very important.
