Dave: Very, very important that
we understand these things.
How do we glean from and prepare
ourself for the soon return of
the Lord by looking at
Bible prophecies?
Well, Revelation 19:7, it gives
us a final account of the
Rapture and the battle
of Armageddon.
It says, “Let us be glad and
rejoice, and give honor to him;
for the marriage of the Lamb is
come, and his wife hath made
herself ready.”
Who’s his wife?
It’s the church.
And then in chapter–so it’s
telling us make sure you’re
being–make sure you’re ready.
It gives us warning after
warning after warning and gives
us the timing of things to know
what to watch, how to navigate
the times just ahead.
And very important, in Daniel
chapter 12–I’m sorry.
Daniel chapter 11 the Bible says
that during the time of the
Antichrist the church will be
hiding in a foxhole somewhere in
Colorado, right?
No, it doesn’t say that.
It says that during the time of
the Antichrist they that do know
their God shall be strong and do
exploits, and they that
understand among the people
shall instruct many.
So the church has a role
in the end time.
In chapter 20 we see the binding
of Satan for 1,000 years, the
Millennial Reign of Jesus and
his church, and the Great White
Throne Judgment.
Then we arrive in Revelation 21
where we’re told in no uncertain
terms the new Jerusalem is a
portrayal of the bride of
Christ, the church.
And then the book of Revelation
is finalized in Revelation 22:6
through 21, and we’re told many
things in these last 16 verses,
and that’s what I want to cover
in the rest of our program here.
When we dive back into this, you
know, you were supposed to–one
of the main things of the Bible,
worship no one else but God.
There are many people that
worship movie stars and sports
figures and, you know, people
with lots of money and they
just–they’re
mesmerized by that.
But after seeing all the visions
of the prophecies given to us in
the book of Revelation,
John was overwhelmed.
Revelation chapter 22, verse 8
through 9 it reveals his
reaction and it says, “And I
John saw these things.
I heard them.
And when I heard and seen, I
fell down to worship before the
feet of the angel which showed
me these things.
Then saith he unto me, ‘Don’t do
that, John: for I’m not–I’m
your fellowservant, and of thy
brethren the prophets, and of
them which keep the sayings of
this book: worship God.'”
So John’s impulse–I mean,
imagine if you were being given
a vision like this.
He fell at the feet of the
angel, the one giving him the
vision and showing him all these
impo–incredible revelations.
The angel immediately reproved
him and reminded him of a truth
that none of us
should ever forget.
“Worship only God, John.”
When Jesus was tempted by Satan
to worship him in Matthew
chapter 4, verse 10, remember
Jesus quoted the words of the
first commandment, “Thou shalt
worship the Lord thy God, and
him only shalt thou serve.”
We’ve all got to forever
remember that there is
the–there’s only one God and
never worship anyone else,
anything else.
Never pray to anyone
else, only God Almighty.
In Revelation we’re–I think
we’re down to about 22,
verse 10.
The angel is speaking to John,
and it says, “Seal not the
sayings of the prophecies of
this book, John, for the time is
at hand.”
It’s going to we–“I’m wrapping
up my book,” God is saying.
And, you know, many people have
questioned the statement the
time is at hand since the book
of Revelation was written almost
2,000 years ago.
Why did the angel say, “The
time is at hand, John?”
Well, this statement–now,
remember this is God’s book.
God is simply giving us what he
wants us to hear, and John is
writing it.
Now, God–God’s giving it to
John through an angel, but this
is God’s Word.
So the time is at hand.
This statement is true because
the book of Revelation covers
the entire 2,000 years from
the time it was written until
right now.
The seven churches to whom God
sent messages in chapters 2 and
3, they existed at the time the
book of Revelation was written.
In chapter 5 we’re shown heaven
before Jesus came to the earth
as a Lamb, and then we see the
Lamb as it had been slain
at–and this is a future, this
John seen–this is written
in symbolism.
You’re not going to go to heaven
and see a lamb that’s all about
ready to be killed ’cause
it’s been cut open.
No, that’s not what
you’re going to see.
It’s a symbolism.
Afterward we see the prophecy of
the four horsemen, chapter 6,
representing the four spirits
that would control the nations
of the earth from Christ
until the Second Coming.
So we’re seeing from 2,000
years ago to today.
All of these things explain why
the angel instructed John to not
seal up the book because
the time is at hand.
And then, of course, we had
the last-minute call, which is
really one of the things I
wanted to focus on, was–if you
go to Revelation chapter 22,
verse 11 through 20, it’s
specifically directed at the
people who will be on the earth
at the time of the conclusion
of the events of the book
of Revelation.
Revelation chapter 22, verse 11
and 12, it seems to speak to
those people who are living
right before the time of
the Rapture.
“He that is unjust, let
him be unjust still.
He that–which is filthy, let
him be filthy still: and he that
is righteous, let him be
righteous still: and he that is
holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly,
my–behold, my reward is with
me, to give every man according
as his work shall be.”
Think of that moment when the
last sermon has been preached,
the last altar invitation has
been given, the last prayer has
been prayed, and every person’s
eternal destination is
locked in.
Those who are unjust, they’ll
remain unjust; and those who are
filthy, they’re going to face
eternity in their
filthy condition.
Those who have been–who have
lived holy lives of holiness and
righteousness, they will
meet God in their
righteous condition.
And it–you know, it’s so–it’s
pretty sobering to think
that–to think about this time,
but it is a time that will
soon come.
Jesus then goes on to repeat
his warning, “Behold, I
come quickly.”
Now, this call will either
happen to those who have lived
all the way to the
Rapture and it happens.
They are–the Rapture happens
and the Lord comes for us or for
anybody who goes by the way of
the grave, which could be–maybe
it’s already happened to many of
our loved ones and friends and
family and sphere of influence.
Maybe it will happen
to one of us today.
The Lord will come at that
point, and he could come quickly
for any one of us.
This is talking about
the Rapture.
But none of us are
promised tomorrow.
That’s why I want to make sure
on “The Endtime Show” that we
keep this on your radar.
We’re not sowing fear, not
sowing any kind of anxiety.
Some people have
rapture anxiety.
We’ll make sure you’re born
again and leading a
righteous life.
You don’t have to
worry about it.
In Revelation 22:14–I think
we’re down at 14 and 15.
It’s almost as though Jesus
decides to give one more
appeal here.
“Blessed are they that do his
commandments, that they may have
right to the tree of life, and
may enter in through the gates
of the city.
For without are dogs, and
sorcerers, and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters, and
whosoever loveth and maketh
a lie.”
You remember back–Deuteronomy
chapter 30, verse 19, it repeats
the call made to mankind
throughout the Old and
New Testaments.
Here it is.
“I have set before you
life and death.”
This is what it all boils
down to, everybody.
God is going to give
you a choice.
“I’ve set be–” God said, “I’ve
set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing: therefore
choose life, that both thou and
thy seed may live.”
You know, the Bible says, “I
am the root and the offspring
of David.”
Throughout the book of
Revelation, Jesus declares who
he is.
From Revelation 1:8 when he
declared, “‘I am the Alpha and
Omega, the beginning and the
end,’ saith the Lord, ‘which is,
and which was, and which is
to come, the Almighty.'”
To–Revelation 1:18 where he
said, “I am the–I am he that
liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I’m alive forevermore.”
Who’s that?
Jesus Christ.
And as he brings his holy
Scriptures to a close in
Revelation 22:16, he says, “I am
the root and the offspring of
David, and the bright
and morning star.”
How could he claim to be both
the root and the offspring
of David?
Because as Almighty God who
created all things he is the
root of David, and as the Son of
God he is the offspring
of David.
And you know the promise of the
entire Bible, one–especially
once you get to where the–it’s
offered–the salvation is
offered to the Gentiles, the
pro–“This promise is unto you
and to your children and all
that are afar off, even as many
as the Lord our God will call.”
It is whosoever will, come.
Even as the book of Revelation
draws to a close, Jesus is still
calling for his prized creation
that–which is the human race,
to come to salvation.
Revelation 22:17, “And the
Spirit and the bride
say, ‘Come.’
And let him that
heareth say, ‘Come.’
And let him that
is athirst come.
And whosoever will, let him take
the water of life freely.”
Folks, there’s no excuse.
Anybody can come.
This great, wonderful, awesome
plan of salvation is available
to all.
Whosoever will, let him come.
And so it’s of utmost importance
that we understand if you’re out
there, you don’t know
where you’re standing.
Am I saved?
Am I not saved?

Dave: We talk about the last
warning in Revelation chapter
22, but it’s all the culmination
of this entire thousands of
years of human existence from
the time of Adam and Eve.
When Adam and Eve sinned and
entered the entire human race
into the law–what’s called the
law of sin and death–Ezekiel
chapter 18:4, “The soul that
sinneth, it’s got to die.”
We entered into that law when
Adam and Eve sinned.
They lost their sonship and
there were no more human sons of
God in the Old Testament
until Jesus Christ.
It does refer to angels as sons
of God, but there were no more
human sons of God
until Jesus Christ.
But God created man and woman
to have a relationship.
He wanted to have a family.
They were called sons of God.
He wanted to have a family,
but they lost out of sonship.
So Jesus Christ in his infinite
wisdom, he said, “Well, I’ve got
to create a plan of salvation to
where people could be reconciled
into this family and be
made sons again.”
And so what he did, he
looked–the Bible says he looked
for a man to bridge the gap,
to be an intercessor, to be
a–somebody who could–had never
sinned but would be–could be
put to death.
Bible says he couldn’t find one,
so his own right arm brought
forth salvation.
How did that happen?
Well, God doesn’t
have a physical arm.
He’s a spirit.
Bible says God is a spirit.
They that worship him must
worship him in spirit and truth.
So what he did, he decided, “I
am going to have to come and die
so that I can break the law of
sin and death and reconcile the
world unto me so I can bring–”
the Bible says to bring–he came
to bring many sons into glory.
So he came to reconcile us.
The Bible says God was in
Christ, reconciling the world
in him.
Reconcile, what does that mean?
It means–it’s a–the Latin
concilio, bring together.
And the prefix R-E means again.
So reconcile means to
bring together again.
So God came to bring us back
together into a family
relationship with him and–so
what about all the people in the
Old Testament?
That’s easy.
God gave them stopgap measures
to be saved and gave them the
law, but the law
brought us to Christ.
The Bible says the law was a
schoolmaster bringing us to
Jesus Christ, to when a human
being who had never sinned was
put to death.
God came, robed himself in a
fleshly form, and was put
to death.
You say, “Well, did God die?”
No, God can’t die, but the
fleshly Sonship role of God
did die.
But the Spirit in him
was God Almighty.
And so he came, paid the
ultimate price that you and I
could have–could be
sons of God as well.
Anybody who’s born again
is a son of God.
You’re part of the family, and
that’s what it’s talking to–God
came and originally that
was for the Israelites.
Everybody else was a pagan
nation on the earth.
The Israelites, they had
the–they were taken out of
Egyptian bondage and they
were–there was a blood, water,
and spirit involved in that
plan of salvation.
Blood on the doorpost but–to
keep them from getting killed by
the death angel.
There–the Bible likens the Dead
Sea expe–the Red Sea experience
when they parted the waters
as a baptism, and then they
were–there was–they ate manna
out in the wilderness and they
were led by a cloud by day and
a pillar of fire by night.
There was blood,
water, and spirit.
Then God gave Moses
the tabernacle plan.
Blood, water, and spirit was
involved in that as well.
And then he gave us the–he
gave them the temple plan.
These were stopgap measures of
salvation bringing them to
Calvary because the entire plan
of God was for him to have a
bride, a family, sons
of God, a church.
That’s what God wants.
That’s God’s will.
And so he’s made this wonderful
plan of salvation who was
originally for the Israelites
and the Jews.
Then in the–in Acts chapter 10
he gives it to–the house of
Cornelius, salvation is offered,
and then from then on Jews and
Gentiles, anybody–it doesn’t
matter what color you are, how
much money you have, what’s your
education, what your background
is, how you were raised, what
sins you’ve committed.
It’s available to every
person on the earth.
The Bible says that John saw a
future vision of heaven in
Revelation 7, and he saw a
multitude no man can number, out
of every people, kindred,
tongue, and nation.
So it’s all
throughout the Bible.
You can see the plan of God.
Well, then when we get to
Revelation 22, the very last
words in God’s book, the Bible.
The passage is telling us that
the world, God’s Spirit–it’s
telling the world that
God–basically that God’s Spirit
is calling everyone
to salvation.
The bride, the church is also
saying come; and that’s what the
church is here to do, evangelize
the world and tell them about
this–the most wonderful message
that we’ve ever heard, and
that’s the plan–the
gospel plan of salvation.
The most wonderful message of
this Scripture is whosoever
will, they may come.
Nobody is exempt.
It’s not God’s will for
everyone to be lost.
Whosoever will means whosoever
desires to come and be saved,
come on.
You say, “But, Dave, you
don’t know what I’ve done.”
It doesn’t matter
what you’ve done.
God loves you.
If you want to be
saved, you can be.
And so then we have this–the
culmination of it all, the
final warning.
God issues this solemn warning
in Revelation 22, verse 18
and 19.
He says, “For I testify unto
every man that heareth the words
of the prophecy of this book,
‘If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him
the plagues that are written in
this book: And if any man shall
take away from the words of the
book of this prophecy, God shall
take away his part out of the
book of life, and out of the
holy city, and from the things
which are written
in this book.'”
Did you hear that last
statement right there?
It is possible for God to take
somebody’s name out of the Book
of Life.
You say, “I’ve always been
taught that you can’t get your
name taken out of
the Book of Life.”
The Bible says right here in
Revelation 22 that, “If you add
to or take away from the words
of this book, I’m going to take
your Book out of the–your name
out of the Book of Life.”
Didn’t God tell Moses that he
was going to take the children
of Israel–when they came down
and he saw them worshiping the
golden calf that, “I’m going to
blot their name out.”
And Moses said, “Well, if you
blot their name out, you blot my
name out.”
And God said, “I’ll blot out who
I want to blot out.”
But he didn’t, did he?
But there was a chance for their
name to be blotted out as well.
So many people have said, “Oh
no, once you get your name in
the Book of Life, that’s it.”
No, that’s not what
the Scripture says.
You can have your name
taken out of the Book.
God forbid that he would do
that, but I mean, it’s possible.
And it’s apparent that God did
not want the prophecies of the
book of Revelation to be
tampered with, right?
He said if, you know, anyone
adds to the prophecies found in
Revelation, that he would add
unto that person the plagues
found in the book.
Man, I don’t want that.
I don’t want God’s wrath
poured out upon me.
And he went on to say in verse
19 if anyone takes away the
words of the book of Revelation,
that God would take away his
part out of the Book of Life.
And, you know, you see a very
important decru–truth that’s
declared here in verse 19.
God warned that a person’s name,
again, could be removed out of
the Book of Life.
Let me cover it one more time
here because there’s many people
that teach once a person’s name
is written in the Book of Life
it can’t be removed, but this
verse declares the opposite.
And this is not stating that
anyone besides ourselves can
remove our name from the
Lamb’s Book of Life.
However, it is stating that
through our own actions we could
cause our names to be removed
from the Lamb’s Book of Life
even after they were
once written there.
Now, again, God forbid, right?
There’s another very important
truth that we should learn from
verses 18 and 19.
Not only should we not want to
add or take away from the book
of Revelation, but we should
also not alter any of the
Scriptures found in the Bible.
The apostle Paul said in 2
Timothy chapter 3:16, “All
scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction and
instruction in righteousness.”
So every one of us should have
a deep reverence for the
sacredness of God’s Word.
We should never attempt to alter
it to fit our lifestyle or to
justify something that–what
we’re wanting to do wrong or
that we’re doing wrong.
Psalm 119:89 it reveals, “For
ever, O LORD, thy word is
settled in heaven.”
Wow, pretty weighty
stuff, isn’t it?
Man, I’ve got to make sure I got
to read the God wo–God’s Word
and I got to apply it to my life
and I can’t–you know, I heard
about somebody who wanted to use
AI to write another Bible, a
more inclusive Bible.
Are you kidding me?
That is–that’s
almost blasphemy.
And so–no, we’re going to stick
by the Word of God, period,
because I want to spend
eternity with him.
Well, of course John then
concludes this marvelous book of
Revelation in Revelation 22,
verse 20 and 21.
It says, “He which testifieth
these things saith, ‘Surely I
come quickly.
Amen.’
Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
The grace of our Lord Jesus
Christ be with you all.
Amen.”
So for the third time in this
final chapter we receive the
warning from Jesus that he is
coming quickly, and then John
adds his own little commentary
and he says, “Even so, come,
Lord Jesus.”
And finally John signs off with
this final salutation, and he
says, “The grace of our Lord
Jesus Christ be with you all.
Amen.”
So it’s a final warning here.
It’s the same one that Jesus
gave in Matthew 24:36
through 51.
Remember Jesus said, “But of
that day and hour no man knows,
not even the angels of heaven,
but My Father only.
But as the days of Noah were, so
also will the coming of the Son
of Man be.
For as in the days before the
flood, they were eating and
drinking, marrying and giving in
marriage, until the day that
Noah entered the ark, and did
not know until the flood came
and took them all away, so also
will the coming of the Son of
Man be.
Then two men are going to be in
the field.
One’s going to be taken, the
other left.
Two women are going to be
grinding at the mill.
One’s going to be taken, the
other left.
Watch therefore, for ye do not
know the–what hour your Lord
is coming.”
Then he says in verse 43, “But
know this, that if the master of
the house had known what hour
the thief would come, he would
have watched and not allowed his
house to be broken up.
Therefore you also be ready, for
the lo–for the Son of Man is
coming in an hour that
you don’t expect.”
He said, “Who then is faithful
and wise to the servant, whom
his master made ruler over the
house, giving them due?”
And he says, “Blessed is that
servant whom, when his master
comes, he shall find doing so.”
So it’s very important.
This is a warning.
Make sure you’re ready
to meet the Lord.
Assuredly I say to you that he
will make him ruler all of his
goods, right?
And–but if a man says in his
own heart, “My master’s delaying
his coming,” he said, “That that
man take heed because I’ll come
in a day when he thinks not.”
And so it’s very important that
we understand these warnings
that the Lord is giving
to us, okay?
All right.
Well, God bless you all and make
sure that you are heeding the
warning given to us by God.
God bless.
